Summary
- We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program, designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
- We collect personally non-identifiable data via Google Analytics Advertising features, Bing Analytics, as well as website visitor information for Meta Advertising. These use cookies to collect aggregated data from all users of the site. We do this to help us gain greater insights about our website traffic and thereby provide a better user experience. (“Aggregated data” can include but is not limited to data such as search queries, keyword data, geographic data etc. for the purpose of demographic and other analysis).
- For users who have opted into marketing communication, we collect additional identifiable data about interactions on our site for the purpose of sending more relevant advertising to you.
- Our website platform utilizes various services which are listed in a table, located below this list.

- Unless otherwise specified, it is assumed that this data is confidential to you, and will not be visible to potential competitors or other users of the site.

- If you subscribe to the Plugable Technologies blog via email, you may unsubscribe from that service at any time by following the links provided at the bottom of the email, or by going to this page.
- Data provided to us in the process of performing troubleshooting and support is used only for the purpose of addressing issues related to our products. Communications through support@plugable.com are retained indefinitely through Zendesk by default, but you may request for data and communications provided this way to be removed from our systems.

Plugable Technologies Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://plugable.com/ (the “Site”).
Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

Sale of Personal Information
Plugable does not offer an opt-out from the sale of personal information because Plugable does not engage in the sale of personal information. Period.
Behavioral Advertising
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Use of Browser Storage
Our website uses browser session storage and local storage in limited ways:
- Session storage is used to temporarily store the estimated country a visitor is browsing from, based on data provided by Cloudflare. This allows us to show the most relevant information for a user's locale. This data is refreshed each browsing session and is only used locally, it is not retained or shared by Plugable.
- Local storage is used to record timestamps of when a user views articles in our FAQ section. This data remains in the user's browser and helps indicate which articles have been viewed recently. This data is only used locally, it is not retained or shared by Plugable.
- Third-party services we use will also add things to browser session storage and browser local storage, please see their policies for details.
Do Not Track
Please note that we do not alter our Site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser. However, many of our third-party services do.
Your Rights
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Data Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
We will keep your information for as long as it remains necessary for the identified purpose or as required by law, which may extend beyond the termination of our relationship with you. We may retain certain data as necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, or for legitimate business purposes, such as analysis of aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data, account recovery, or if required by law. All retained information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Please note that if you request that your information be removed from our databases, it may not be possible to completely delete all of your information due to technological and legal constraints.
Changes
In short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
